We live with these symptoms above, like it is “normal” to have them. You don’t have to live that way. A high percentage of our society is on prescribed medication for something. They all produce side affects in the body and all that does is cover the symptoms. I like to get to what is the cause of the symptom.
It has been called the Master Cleanse by many over the years. It is part of all of our wellness programs because it is effective and is not hard to do. It consists of a liquid diet of a mixture of fresh lemon juice, distilled water, and pure maple syrup. It is recommended that at least 2 quarts per day be consumed. It is not a 3 day fast, but substitutes a normal diet with food that will help cleanse the systems of the body.
It utilizes lemon juice that is rich in water soluble vitamins that the body cannot store. It requires pure maple syrup, a balanced form of natural sugar that will not cause insulin response. Pure maple syrup is also rich in minerals that the body needs. Three supplements are recommended while on this to support the body, the removal of wastes and its cleansing action.
By detoxing the organs, it helps the body:
Remove congestion, mucous, chemicals
Purify the blood
Cleanse the lymphatic system
Fight bacteria, virus, yeast, mold and worms
Destroy parasites in the digestive system
By cleansing, it helps:
Increase circulation in the bowels
Lubricate the intestinal tract
Relieve gas and pains
Expel intestinal parasites
Reduce inflammation and irritation
The lemon juice, maple syrup, and distilled water mixture is a meal in itself. The mixture is keeping your blood sugar level in balance, as well as providing minerals and vitamins. Because it is already in liquid form, the body immediately assimilates and uses it without the tremendous output of energy required to break down solid, clogging foods. Your energy can now be used to cleanse more deeply.
Because of the environment we live in, anyone could benefit from this. We receive toxins from just about everything in our lives. It is very important that you understand the symptoms and changes that may occur when you are beginning any wellness and nutritional program. This is referred to as healing crisis. You may ask, “Why am I feeling worse by detoxifying my body?’ The body must go through cleansing and detoxification. The energy normally used for hard to digest food is now removing poisons from the body. Removing these toxins can prevent you from developing degenerative diseases. During this detoxification, colds, fever or flu symptoms may occur. This is your body’s natural way of cleansing. This is a positive step even though may be unpleasant at the moment.
It does take preparation to do this and it is best to do over a weekend. The first 2 days, you are to remove meat, dairy and refined sugar, refined carbohydrates from your diet. Then the next 3 days you are using the lemon mixture along with the supplements for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Also drinking distilled water during the day with this process. (We should all be drinking half of our body weight in ounces of water daily – but during this process, distilled is what should be used – it helps to pull out toxins.)
My wife and I did this cleanse a month ago. We both had more energy and felt great afterward. She did not have her coffee and sugar addictions after doing it. When coming off of it, take care when starting to eat solid foods again. We started eating again with lightly steamed vegetables.
